For this project, we supplied and fitted a high-quality Warm Protection Compact Roller door, designed to fit perfectly between the existing piers of the garage. The client chose a sleek black door curtain with a crisp white frame and box, creating a modern and sophisticated look. Here's a closer look at the key features of this installation:
Robust Construction: The door features 52mm hard foam-filled aluminium locking profiles, ensuring both thermal insulation and enhanced security. The tight coiling design maximises space and durability.
Smooth Operation: Metal frame brushed lined guide rails ensure smooth and quiet operation, while the fully enclosed metal top box protects the internal mechanism from the elements.
Sag-Free Design: A fixed metal barrel prevents any sagging of the door curtain, maintaining a clean and professional appearance for years to come.
Premium Motorisation: We installed a market-leading Somfy internal tubular motor, renowned for its reliability and quiet performance. A manual internal override ensures the door can be operated even during power outages.
Convenient Control: The client opted for two fully coded Somfy handsets, a wall-mounted Somfy remote control unit for easy internal access, and a Somfy internal wireless button. This comprehensive control system provides maximum convenience.
Enhanced Safety and Security: Safety is paramount. The door is equipped with a safety edge that stops and reverses the door if it encounters anyone laying on the floor under the door. Automatic locking and an automatic setting Somfy alarm provide added security. A courtesy light illuminates the garage upon operation.
Finishing Touches: We removed and disposed of the old door and frame, ensuring a clean and hassle-free installation. To complete the look and provide weather protection, we trimmed the exterior with white UPVC trim.
