Save on Your Energy Bills with an Insulated Garage Door

If you are one of the lucky ones to have a garage as part of your property then, more often than not, it is either attached to your home or detached as a separate entity. When you home is so close to your garage space it's important to consider how this is affecting the rooms in your house. Energy efficiency is as big as ever, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future, so ensuring your garage door isn't losing valuable energy is an important thing to consider. Heat and energy waste Although its summer time, it's still a good time to think about where thermal energy is being lost from your home. In the height of summer, it can be just as important to consider how the outside environment affects the internal temperatures of your property, as keeping you home cool in a heat wave is just as important as keeping it warm in the colder months. If your garage is attached to your property, then it may be drawing heat out in the winter and making it too hot in the summer especially if you don't have thermal efficiency measures in place. This can vary from insulation in the walls to ensuring you have the best roofing material. However, one of the most important places which can make a big difference is through your garage door. Choosing the right garage door If you're looking to replace your garage door then it may a good idea to invest in an insulated one. This can help reduce the amount of energy which is lost through door and will ensure the garage stays at a comfortable temperature. This is important to ensure the thermal consistency of the rooms adjacent to the garage itself (reducing the chances of damp and mould) as well as making a big difference when your garage is used for hobbies or leisure activities. Insulated garage doors We have a range of insulated sectional garage doors for you to choose from. Our Georgian and Linear door designs are made from 42mm thick panels and are constructed from pressed metal, filled with foam to provide excellent heat retention properties. These particular designs require minimal space to open, ensuring you get maximum amount of internal garage space. The Georgian and Linear door designs come in the following styles:
