Choosing the Right Colour Door for Your Garage

White garage door

We live in an age of choice. The garage doors that we supply and install are available in a range of styles and materials. If you need any advice on choosing the right door for your garage, drop by our showroom on the Sweet Briar industrial estate and we will be glad to help. Once you have settled on the substance and form of your door, one final consideration will be its colour. Here are some things to take into account when choosing the colour of your garage door.

  1. Powder Coating Steel: Steel doors can be powder-coated. This process involves spraying the door with plastic and then heating the surface to create an even application in one of 17 colours. Powder-coating provides a durable finish and protection for your door.
  2. Staining Timber: If you have opted for a timber door, then you can choose how light or dark you wish to stain it. Wood stains are available in a wide range of hues from light ash to darkest ebony.
  3. Surrounding Architecture: Take a look at the brick or stonework of your garage and think about what colour door would complement it.
  4. Other Doors and Windows: You may wish to make sure that the colour of your garage door matches other features of your property – such as the front door or window frames of your house.
  5. Your Favourite Colours: Sometimes you just have to go with your instinct. If your favourite colour is jade green, then you can have a jade green garage door.
