The East Anglian Game and Country Fair is a celebration of the countryside and its associated sporting traditions. The weekend event has been running annually for 14 years and fills a gap in the event circuit between Easter and the season of summer shows. We’ll be setting up our stall for the weekend, so if you are visiting the Fair please drop by and say hello.
A New Location
The Game and Country Fair is relocating this year. The 2017 event will be held in the grounds of Euston Estate in Thetford. In previous years, the event has been held at the Norfolk Showground, but the new location is more central to the region. The extensive grounds allow plenty of room for parking, camping and the fair itself.
What to Expect
From terrier racing and falconry to the incomparable ferret wrangling of Simon Whitehead, there’s something for everyone going on in the Main Arena of the Game and Country Fair. Elsewhere at the show, there are a range of country activities for attendees to have a go at. Visitors to the fair can hold an owl, shoot a cross bow, take a ride off-road in a Land Rover and try their hand at fly and coarse fishing.
Over in the Trade Stands
There will also be lots of local businesses advertising their wares and showing off their best products over in the Trade Stands. We will be there of course. We love the atmosphere of the Game and Country Fair. If you have any questions about garage doors or gates or automation, pop along and see us and we’ll do our best to answer them.
